So far, it's not as bad as I anticipated. Then again, optimystik is still at home. I'm trying not to be resentful that his company doesn't top up parental leave. He's using his paid vacation to stay at home. I've had to remind him that he's using vacation but this is not a vacation. - tried fiddleheads for the first time last night. verdict? meh. seriously, seriously meh. they had no discernible flavour of their own and I was terribly disappointed. I sauteed them with shiitakes and wild leeks.
