Even if an object isn't a "collectible", if it really does have meaning for you, it should be well taken care of: not covered in dust, or stuck at the bottom of a box, or buried under other meaningless clutter.
He's also got a great section on sentimental items, which should prove useful to, well, everyone I know, really.
My goodness, I have a lot of work ahead of me... but N and I packed another box of books last night that is slated for sale.
