Summary: Tezuka plays Truth or Dare with Fuji's friends in America

Fuji's friends in America consisted of a small group of guys and a large group of girls. The ration of boys to girls didn't particularly bother Tezuka because, for all that he was a very calm person, he was also a very jealous one. He had absolutely no problem that the large majority of Fuji's friends were girls, because Fuji was clearly gay. Or at least, Tezuka was fairly sure he was gay. It might have caused a few problems in their newly instated relationship if he weren't, so Tezuka felt fairly certain that yes, Fuji was gay. Which meant that he should have been more worried about the guys whom Fuji had befriended.

At least, that was what he thought at first. He didn't take into account the fact that not only were girls not put off by discussing awkward topics such as crushes, they actually liked those discussions. To top that off, girls were devious beings and who somehow managed to convince both Tezuka and Fuji to play a game they dubbed "Truth or Dare." Well, not so much Fuji, because Fuji had agreed to play on the onset of it all, but it took a bit to convince Tezuka.

Actually, Fuji did that.

Tezuka blamed his relative naïveté on American customs and his weak grasp of the English language for not guessing what that game would entail. He did figure it out by the third round, though, and promptly tried to make himself as inconspicuous as possible. Unfortunately, it seemed to have the opposite effect in that he was called upon next.

"Truth." He said, because it seemed a lot safer than being asked to run through the streets naked or confessing his love to the grocery store checkout worker as two girls before him had had to do. From the way the girls (and Fuji) started smirking, though, he immediately regretted his choice. The girls all huddled up together across the room, thankfully without Fuji. Tezuka didn't even want to imagine what torturous question Fuji might ask him.

Though really, Fuji probably knew all of his secrets better than he himself did.

Fuji, for his part, found himself suddenly relatively alone with Tezuka and took the opportunity to scoot closer and force Tezuka's legs to part just enough for Fuji to curl up and lean against him.

"Fuji." Tezuka said.

"It's okay." Fuji answered. "This is America."

Which didn't really make it alright to display their affection publicly, Tezuka wanted to say, but apparently it did. Not a few girls glanced over at them and giggled, but Fuji just smiled and toyed with Tezuka's hair. Finally, they returned and the girl who had truth-or-dared Tezuka asked, "Who was your first love?"

Tezuka stared at her, because she couldn't honestly expect him to answer that question with Fuji there. Fuji stopped playing with Tezuka's hair for a moment and glanced at her questioningly.

"We told her it was a stupid question." Another girl said and several of them started nodding and talking quickly in what Tezuka assumed was agreement.

"Yeah, because..."

"...just cruel..."

"...did it anyways..."

"I can't believe..."

"...so whatever, right?"

Fuji shrugged and started amusing himself with Tezuka's hair again and Tezuka realized at that moment that he was doomed. Though there was a bit of time that he thought he might be saved by the discussion of the very fact he was dreading. Unfortunately, the conversation died down eventually and all eyes turned to him, waiting for his answer.

"I..."

They all stared at him, eyes wide. Quite a few of them spent a bit of time glancing at Fuji and Tezuka realized what they expected him to answer. Unfortunately, that wasn't exactly the truth and lying grated on his conscience to an extent that it was more often than not out of question. So he squirmed as much as he could without calling undue attention to it, though he could just feel Fuji smirking at him.

"It's..."

"Fuji, right?" One of the girls leaned forward, overly eager and offering Tezuka a convenient way out. All he had to do now was not talk and look embarrassed and they would let this...

"Nope." Fuji looked over at her, letting go of Tezuka's hair and grabbing his hand. "Try again."

"Eh?" Another girl said. "You know, Fuji?"

"Of course." Fuji said. "I know everything."

Tezuka rolled his eyes.

"What?" Fuji didn't even look up. "You know I do, Tezuka."

"Of course."

"Mm-hmm." Fuji traced one of the veins on Tezuka's palm.

"So who is it?" A girl whined.

"It's..." Well, Fuji probably did know anyways. "Echizen."

"Who?" They sounded disappointed, which they probably were. After all, they didn't know Echizen.

"A boy from our school." Fuji supplied them. "He was two years younger than us."

"Oh." They thought about it for a while, then one of them asked, "Were you jealous, Fuji?"

"Yes." Fuji answered.

"Really?"

Their eyes were shining, Tezuka noticed. Girls were very scary indeed.

"Yes."

"Well, it was a long time ago, right?"

"Kind of."

"So that's okay then." The girl who asked the annoying question said.

"Wait..." Another of them said. "So how long have you liked..."

"Since sixth grade." Fuji answered, apparently not sharing Tezuka's hesitancy. "He was my first crush."

"Are you serious?"

They were squealing again. Tezuka mentally sighed. This was going to be a long day.

"But... Fuji..." A quiet girl who hadn't talked much said, "Don't you wish you were his first love too?"

Tezuka nearly winced, feeling guilty for something he knew he couldn't control. Fuji glanced up at him and gave him a quick kiss.

"Nope. I just want to be his last."
