Firekeeper and Blind Seer returned from the Gig to find... her message light blinking.
That was unexpected. Joan had helped her set the machine up, shortly after explaining what a phone was. But she'd not expected to actually ever use the thing.
She listened to the first message, and then told the machine to dial back that number (because like she'd actually remember the sequence, please) so she could return the call. And then did the same for the second message.
All in all, her first experience with using the phone was... rather off-putting, actually.
