2/11/2008 19:00 update: 20-10-6-6-4 / 60sec breaks
Program suggested to start with week 3 if I did 26 on initial test, so I went and chose the second column of week 3. It's 20-15-15-13-20 with one minute breaks. Could not do it, so I did just 20-10-6-6-4 with one minute breaks ... which is much more like week 1 actually. 48 pushups overall. Week 1 third column is 35 pushups overall. I think that I'll switch to week one and just do Week 1 Day 2 the day after tomorrow.

third column of week 1, day 2. it was just on the edge of what I could pull off, not hard per se. but I could not do more than required if asked. and the muscles really ache from last time, all the time ... so today was 50 in total.
6/11/2008 17:00 update: measured body composition at a gym.
Standard male body type, age 28, height 174, weight 106.7, bmi 35.2, bmr 9287kJ/2220kcal, impedance 350om, fat% 26.4%, fat mass 28.2kg, ffm 78.5kg, tbw 57.5kg.
desirable range: fat% 8-20%, fat mass: 6.8-19.6kg
6/11/2008 18:40 update: done blood tests this morning.
The results came in and the doctor was alarmed, so she called me in. Done a second EKG to see if it's the same as the previous one, and set me up with repeated blood tests (same ones) on sunday. The cause of the alarm was muscle tissue breakdown, most probably because of the pushups that I did the day before.
CPK (Creatine Kinase) values were in "panic" red, other components were also red. Including cholesterol, which the doc said she is not too worried about. And some liver functions, that also indicate some extra physical activity that I've been doing. Guess they just caught me on a bad day.... I'll do the Sunday pushups (Week 2, Day 1) after the blood test. She did prescribe "rest" ... duh.
7/11/2008 18:00 update: 11-15-9-9-9 / 120sec breaks
Done Week 1 Day 2, short 4 pushups in the last set. Still, it's 53 in total. Now some rest for tomorrow, and try again on Sunday. Even though the schedule slipped one day ... and I have one day less to rest. Wont let it happen next time.
