This is the most epic song I have ever heard. Today was “Paint” day at work for me. Paint as in I looked up songs and as I read their lyrics they were just painting picture after picture for me. This one paints the biggest by far. There is two ways you can take the song. One is that the girl (it’s sung by one of the best voices in the world) remembers being with her love and now he as gone and this pain could only come from him. But she wants him back for them to be back together would bring about rebirth in both of them. The one I go with is from Heritage, where one of the characters, hearing over his headset of his former love’s boyfriend being injured with her beside him and him trying to make it across the battleground to get to them. “My fall will be for you, my love will be in you, if you be the one to cut me, I’ll bleed forever” She says at the beginning, so the character was willing to sacrifice himself for her, becuz he loved her, but if she betrayed him, he would never recover. Well in my story he was betrayed but still fought his way to them. The song goes through several changes: first the song is nice and talks about memories, which is flashbacks that character has, then when the song builds up, he is fighting, it goes down and yet another memory. At one point the song nearly goes silent which is her cuddling her new love as the chaos of the battle fades away. There’s jerky parts which is the Love dodging blows and getting wounded but still getting those flashbacks. The song reaches a point where he is defeating several of them at once and he is just within site of the couple. Just as the girl is about to be killed, he burst though to save her and drives them all back. But the song changes it’s now “my fall will be for you” he’s keeping his promise “my love will be in you. You WERE the one to cut me, so I WILL bleed forever” she betrayed him and he will never truly recover but he is still standing between her (and her bf) and the slaughter moving towards them.
I love this song I could listen to it on repeat all day (even did once lol) the other songs I looked up were from Imogen Heap, Nightwish, Within Temptation cuz their songs aren’t just listen it’s cool, and not traditional stuff. Like Imogen Heap his this one song, the moment I said it. Which I think everyone can sooooo relate. Well if you listen to the song closely you can actually hear the couple fighting WITHIN the song (3:18) you can hear them arguing, and while this is going on Immi sings what is going on “Don’t…oh, smash…
