Remember that real update I mentioned in my last post? Well, here it is.
The semester's almost over, Thank God. I have finals next week and a whole bunch of stuff to hand in before then. Of course, I'm being me and have procrastinated pretty much all semester, so I'll probably end up doing most of the work on Sunday night. I just want this whole thing over. I know my grades won't be as great as they were last semester, but hopefully I'll pass everything, though I'm not so sure about Bio. Grades usually come out the week after finals, so I should know right before I leave for DC. Oh joy!
Aside from prep for finals, some parts of school this week were actually fun. On Tuesday, my Bio class visited a park in Merrick to walk around and check out the wildlife. This mostly consisted of various types of birds, some of which I could identify. The park and its avians were really nice, and I think my teacher was impressed with my birding skills. The only bad part was the horrendous sunburn I got later. Not fun! On Thursday, I had my last gym class of the semester. To celebrate, we went bowling, which was rather enjoyable. I ended up getting the highest score among the girls, which was absolutely amazing. Later, our teacher bought us ice cream. YAY!!
In other news, I'll be leaving for DC in less than three weeks. The week after finals will be mostly devoted to packing and preparing for the trip. I've been talking to some of my fellow interns on Aim and Facebook. They seem like a pretty nice group, and are all about as excited about this summer as I am. We're planning group trips to various spots in and around DC, and one of the girls proposed that we all get together for dinner every week, just to catch up. I'm trying to organize an expedition out to Montecello, but since that's pretty far from Washington we may end up with transportation issues. More on that eventually.
Guess that's it for now. The weather is gorgeous, the Mets are playing well, my shows are almost done with their seasons, and I'm finishing this post. Au revoir!
