Yeah I know, lame subject.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Since my family's one hundred percent Irish, this is a pretty big day for me and everyone else. More on that later. First, a quick recap.
At school on Thursday, I had a meeting with Jeff between classes. He'd met previously with a whole bunch of people to discuss the math situation, and they finally came up with a solution. Apparently I was within 15 points of passing the NCC math placement test, so the powers that be are willing to give me another crack at it. Before this, I'll be recieving intensive tutoring from the CSD's math specialist. I met her, she's really nice, and thinks I can actually pull it off. She'll be going over the test and my math knowledge so we can work on the main problem areas, and we'll be meeting twice a week to work on this. If I pass the placement when I take it again (probably in May) I won't have to worry about Remeedial math and can go right up to Math 101. Meanwhile, the math and CSD folks are working on finding a book, any book, that I can use for either class. So yay for that, finally people are working on this!
The rest of Thursday didn't consist of much, except new episodes of Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. George and Izzie? Whoa, did not expect that.
Yesterday it snowed, big time. A entire week of utterly gorgeous weather ended with grossness. I know we got at least a few inches, since my parents and I walked to the diner in it. (brilliant idea Dad) Today, we woke up to find the front door frozen and a pile of snow on the deck Franny couldn't climb over. Yuck!
So today was St. Patrick's Day. I dressed up for the occasion with a green shirt (with my nanna kept complaining about because my boobs kept sticking out), shamrock earrings, and a pin shaped like a harp that used to beling to Grandma. I watched the parade from the city and learned some interesting Irish trivia. For example, do you know what the colors of the Irish flag represent? The green is for Ireland, the orange is for England, and the white is for the current peace between them. Cool huh? I also saw my future employer, Congressman King. He was marching right behind former Mayor Giuliani. Afterwords, Nanna and Auntie Gina came over for dinner. We had corned beif, cabbage, red potatoes, carrots, stringbeans, and rye bread. There was also alcohol of course. I tried some Guiness mixed with Bud Lite. It was ok.
Now I'm just hanging out in my pjs, listening to Irish music on XM. Later all!

school, recap, st. patrick's day, snow
