Superb News!!
School went very well today. In Sociology we watched some of Bowling for Columbine, which is a really good movie. Will have to rent it someday so I can see the rest. In Bio, we discussed genetics, mitosis and miosis, and other stuff involving cells and chromosomes and stuff like that. And I found my Human Sexuality book on RFB and D so that's good. However, the best news of the day arrived while I was eating lunch with a really nice girl named Diana. (she's originally from Jordan and we had a pleasant conversation about school, family, and her country) Dad called me and said that I'd gotten a letter from AAPD. I GOT THE INTERNSHIP!!!!! *runs around the house screaming* I will be living in Washington DC in June and July working for a Senator or Congressperson, pursuing a policy issue I believe in, and generally having a fabulous time. How exciting is that? I practically ran from lunch to Bio. I called up a bunch of family and told them. I seriously think Grandma intervened on my behalf (I told her all about the internship before she died) and I hope she knows how thrilled I am. So that's what's going on, just thought you should know. WOOT!!!!!
