Well, after a good deal of searching for music, file conversion, and mixing the whole thing together, the newest episode of the Kerri Live from Everywhere podcast is now ready for you to listen and enjoy. It's called a Feast for the Ears and it's all about Thanksgiving, home, and being thankful. Go check out the podcast's homepage (it's the website in the profile) to learn more, and if you're not subscribed yet you can also go to my user info to find out how you can do that. Let me know if you have any problems listening or downloading.
Thanks to Tif, Sam, and Caitlin L for their "what I'm thankful for" messages. Unfortunately, I didn't get to play them in the cast. For some reason I was able to open the files, but couldn't save them as .wav files, only as .eml or .html like a regular attachment. I was thus unable to insert the files into the cast, so the best I could do was transcribe them and say what you were thankful for instead. Sorry about that!! Hope you don't mind. And if anyone has any experience with K7 phone lines, I'd really appreciate your help.
Tonight was extraordinarily fun. I got to hang out with Katelyn, Marc, Erin, and Julie. (Bopp was supposed to come too but he was going to the city to watch them blow up the balloons for the parade instead) We were going to go to The Cup but it was really noisy and crowded in there so we headed for the diner instead. We proceeded to eat, talk, and laugh really loudly. After staying there for almost two hours, we hopped into Marc's car and did more of the same. We sat in Katelyn's driveway just chatting away and listening to Christmas music. It was really great to see everyone again, especially since we've hardly seen each other since the summer. It felt really good to hang out with some of my favorite people again and to just be ourselves. Wish I could be home more this weekend so we could see more of each other. Katelyn's having a holiday cocktail party at her place in mid-December, after everyone gets home from school. It'll be both Cooper and HT people. Should be fun!!
In a few hours the family and I head off on our anual Thanksgiving pilgrimage to the Island of Rhode. This time though, I'll be up there all weekend, since my parents are going to a wedding in Cape Cod on Saturday. Matthew, Franny (Nanna and Auntie Gina are going to the wedding too so we're bringing the pup since she'll have no one to stay with), and I are staying with my Aunt Regina, whose Dad's older sister. She already has Grandma, Uncle George, my cousin Megan, Megan's two kids, and their dog Seamus living with her, and will also be hosting Aunt Theresa, Daniel, and their dog Katrina for Thanksgiving. I have no idea where we're going to sleep. Three days in the house with all those people, three dogs, and no Internet access. Wish me luck! I'm bringing plenty of reading material of course.
Since it's on Friday and I'll miss it, Happy early Birthday to Nickie, whose last name starts with a C, not a K.
Thank you all for being there for me over the past year. As you know, I've been through a lot since last Thanksgiving, and I really appreciate how so many of you have offered your words and gestures of support. I am truly thankful for friends like you. Happy Thanksgiving!!
