Eggy Cheese on Toast

This is a dead simple recipe, brought about by my frustration at not having a working grill to make cheese-cooked-on-toast (which has a lot of different names, my family just called it "Cheese Cooked" with the "on toast" implied). I think "eggy cheese" has a better lilt to it than "cheesy egg".

And at least you didn't try to do what my DH once did years ago when he was on his own: lay a toaster on its side and try to put a piece of toast with cheese on it into a pop-up toaster. He quickly learned this was not how to do it! And also how fast he could pull a plug out of the wall, LOL!

I usually make cheese toast in the oven. But if you don't have a grill, you likely don't have an oven either.

Oh no. I would have thought it would be an obvious thing NOT to do... I guess your DH has never contemplated the workings of a pop-up toaster...

But if you don't have a grill, you likely don't have an oven either.

Grill, oven, same diff. Yes, my oven doesn't work properly, I don't trust it. I've been meaning to get it replaced for a while, but it's a big bother to do so...
