My Green P's expire on the 11th of Feb, so two days ago I hurredly decided to book a test for my full licence.
jennigan has recently become eligible, so today, we attempted our DQT tests together
*. We both passed! So now we're on full driver's licences.
So, this means:
- No more P plates to muck about with (not that I bothered much anyway).
- No more 100km/h speed limit (Not that I bothered with that either).
- Finally, no more zero alcohol limit- right so this one might make a difference ;-)
- Oh, and an extra 4 allowable demerit points (12 instead of 8). I've never lost any points, but it concerns me that during double-demerit periods it would be so easy to lose your licence in one go, on a Provisional licence.
Also, my photo this year is much better than the one on my P2. I actually shaved, wore my contacts, and chose a decent shirt. Mostly though, it's better simply because the contrast was set too high when they took the last photo. this one is a tad washed out, but still... much better.
* It was together insofar as we organised it to be... however, she arrived heaps early and was finishing just as I sat down to start the test. She also didn't stick around for me to finish because apparently she "had to go pee" all the way through her test and couldn't wait. :-P
