Preparing for DragonCon...
I have about five separate packing/ stuff to buy/ stuff to finish for costumes lists going now.
I have just ordered 16 pizzas to be delivered on Saturday
We did a final fitting of most of Mel's costume items last night. Mostly good, we'll make changes to the stuff that doesn't work this year. It's amazing to think that we once went to DragonCon with just one lonesome costume. Now we both have a costume almost every day of the convention! How does that happen?!?
I'm not great in making costumes. I did however scour the internet (and Ebay) to find most of the items we needed. Melissa's mom is putting the finishing touches on a few things that require stitching or modification. My big contribution this year will be the Gun I'm making for the SURPRISE SATURDAY COSTUME that Mel and I are doing.
[*NOT* My work] I've seen loads of Nerf guns like these modded and painted to excellent results, and I thought I'd try my hand at one. It'll be something unique. Because for me, the costume is all about a STORY, and Melissa and I have some pairs costumes that have pretty good stories IMHO.
Sorry to be vague, but it's too good a surprise to let go. *EvilGrin*
