food. food is good.

now if only i had some.

i mean... seriously, there's none in the house and i don't have money for any. well there is... but that involves more cooking then i'm used to and i always end up breaking something whenever i end up having to cook a full meal. (plus it's not fun only cooking food for one's self). also i wonder if the bf is still alive. i would call but i don't know his work schedule and besides he gets free long distance calling... (it's not really that long of a distance though, basically a three hour drive if the traffic is bad)... which can only mean that he forgot my number again. but i don't yell at him for doing that because last time he spent three hours calling stranger's houses because he was checking out everyone of a particular last name in my area before he managed to reach me. though i would like to point out that the reason why it took three house was because he gave the operator the wrong last name. i think that laughing for five minutes strait at his misery officially denies me the right to get mad at him about that sort of thing at the moment, ne?

since my last computer was a victum of an unfortunate slaying accident, i no longer have to much time to play my precious gba games. and since i'm to poor for an actual gaming system, books, and some of the more expensive thigns that my friends like to do on their little... outings... ... ... (i'm not going to pay for booze i don't intend to drink). ... free gba games from the internet was literally my only form of entertainment. which is merely another testament to how easily it is to amuse me.

When it comes to the GBA games, I'm using the SNES as a reference. Since the GBA is just a miniture version of the SNES anyways, considering serveral GBA games are just SNES "remakes." Thus I expect them to have better storylines and gameplay them some of the PS2 or XBOX games who invest more into graphics then actual gameplay. *eyetwitch* Which might be another reason why I have yet to get around to buying either.

Fantastic Four

Sucks even more balls then the movie. Which I didn't think was possible. The movie was one type of bad, whilst the game... ... The people who made this game need to be shot. Especially those who thought up the control system with the rigid movements and impossibilties to hit a guy right in front of you because you're facing a pixel off in the wrong direction... Or something to that assortment. Stabbity stab.

Riviera - The Promised Land

I had somewhat high hopes for this game before downloading it. Simply because the sprites were so cute. It's basically the story of a Grim Angel who goes to Riviera to destroy it, loses his memory, and then fights to save Riviera from the whatever is threatening it so that other grim angels don't come and destroy it. That's not really a spoiler there. That's pretty much self-explainatory within the first chapter of the game.

And here's my little rating system here.

Storyline - 6 - It's the basic *insert hero* has to save *insert location* from *insert villian* Types of stories. It's fairly basic, not complecated at all, and never gets confusing. Thus is either non-existent or "duh" throughout the half I've played thorugh. I'm still confused on whether or not the main character is a pedophile or not.

Sound - 7 - They gain a little extra credit for adding in voices every once in awhile (during the battle scenes), but being a game on the GBA, it's somewhat hard to understand what the hell they just said. The music itself isn't at all catchy, nor is it rememberable.

Graphics - 9 - For a GBA Game, the graphics are good. They even have little "cut-scenes" that aren't really cut scenes at all... Just a picture that sometimes has people talking over it... But they are at least nicely drawn pictures. The sprites are good though. The backgrounds tend to be used over and over again within the same area... In fact, every area, no matter how big it is, seems to only have 1-3 backgrounds. But they are nice looking backgrounds.

Gameplay - 5- I think they tried to be a bit strategic in the wrong areas. They only allow you to bring four weapons or accesories per battle, which is ok. Weapons have limited usages, that's ok. I just really hate being able to only carry fifteen items from which I can pick and choose. Especially since once you get rid of some of the older weapons, you can't find or use them ever again. Weapons are important because the only way to gain stats for different attributes (hp, str, exc) is to master weapons, it's really hard to use a new character when you have nothing to work with. Also once you're done with a certain area, there is no way to backtrack to it. Which is HEAVELY ANNOYING IN THIS GAME! You're expected to gather lots of story items which can help you unlock special features for the game or stronger weapons. This is done buy entering a room, searching it throughly, making either a right decision when you find something or playing a quick minigame (that you only get to do once) in order to get the item. Then you go to the next room and repeat. Even doing this will not allow you to unlock everything in an area, and there seems to be no way (at least halfway through the game) to ever return to those areas and unlock them. But I think that I won't be able to go back there. Expecially since some bitchy little demons flooded a city right after I managed to find the damn key to a door within that city. I know it will never be unflooded, and I will never know what is behind that door... ... Unless I look it up on the internet, but it'll still be to late for me to get it.

Fun Factor - 5 - Kinda fun at first, but since the game can be so repetitive it gets rather annoying. It's just the same thing over and over again. Though I may be biased because I'm the type of gamer who likes to unlock every single damn thing in a game or run around in circles to level up. And I like playing the Sims. Yes, I am that type of gamer, and this game bored me. I'll think I still play it to the end though, just to see what else is up.

Overall - 6.7 - Which is fairly low. It was the fun-factor that dragged this game down. Not very fun at all.

So that's about that. If I ever get my own compu, I'll write more reviews that no one else will read. I just write them because I'm bored.
