Rona spotted the target; signalled with her left hand.
She readied her bow.
Vi called; perfect pitch for a White-faced Ibis.
Only the target would know it belonged a thousand kilometres away.
Kennedy saw her hesitate; unsettling her minions.
Bow now taut, Rona shook her head; unable to see a shot through her night-glasses.
Kennedy whispered in Vi's ear; different call; different range.
Two young slayers revealed their presence.
Gaps appeared around their target.
Rona relaxed; tilted her head.
An arrow loosed; whistling its way unerringly through the air.
She smiled; satisfied. The others high-fived.
They'd pick the rest off later.
