Polymathematics!

For the first time in about eleven months, I am writing again. To several people's chagrin, it is not on Prometheus - rather, it's (what was intended as) a one-shot, extremely short story detailing the earlier life of one of my better NPCs in the D&D game.   I do intend to finish the previously-mentioned story, I really do - it's just that I'm approaching the beginning of the middle of the tale, and I realize that my premise is not as good as all that and maybe I'm retarded.

Once again, I have entirely too many projects going.  The wiki, my drawing, the writing - and with luck I'll be able to salvage Mirren from
satoshi's hard drive and then I can resume that horribly involving process as well.  I certainly hope I can keep all this up, as too many projects is precisely the amount I prefer.

For the most of you who are unaware, Mirren is a project I had going for a while until a hard drive failure and completely failed backup scheme ruined it.  It was (and maybe still will be) a point-and-click adventure/puzzle very much in the vein of Myst or Riven - in fact, it's something close to a homage (or worse.)  I had a large amount of work done on it, most of it art resources - and to see it dancing before my mind's eye, crystal clear but utterly unrecoverable is maddening.

But, Satoshi's hard drive should contain a fairly recent copy; with luck, the insanity may begin anew.

I've bought a cheapie S-Video to Composite adapter on the internet.  Annoyingly, I could manufacture my own had I but a single, if exceedingly specific, capacitor.  And a soldering iron, I guess!  I really should purchase one of those, given my propensity for DIY home electronics projects - twisted-end hand-crimped wiring is horribly fault-prone, and our home server in particular suffers a hand-made (twisted, crimped) adapter for the CPU's line to the power supply.  I don't know what would happen if it failed while in operation, but it could potentially be catastrophic for either the power supply or the shitty Celeron.  I mean, if worse came to worst I'd only be out forty bucks in parts - but that's $40 I don't got.

The sheer scope of my negligence is beginning to dawn on me.  Prometheus and my site both have been ignored since last March.  Surely, something must be done.

My hair was matted to my neck, the tacky red tube top pulled up a little too close to the nipple. But that's business, and I guess I'm a businesswoman after a fashion.

I pulled my sopping hair away, and tried not to think about last night. Hair's red, you know. Or at least, it usually is - when it ain't a step up from pitch black, and I ain't a step up from swimming in this shitty alley. My heels are slick with mud and rain. Skirt? Lost fucking cause.

There's someone moving at the end of the alley. Can't be one of the girls, 'cause it's too tall.

He's making for me, though. Fuck, I hope it's not Bill.

I've still got marks from Bill.
