Yesterday morning after arriving home from work, Simon, our cat, became unusually irate and upset. At first we thought it was from accidently shutting his tail in the door but he wasn't caught in the door. I feed him and he still doesn't calm down. So after about twenty minutes of having to deal with a cat that is angry and upset for no apparent reason, I take a shower.
And within a few minutes of having taken a shower the cat is affectionate and purrs while sitting on my lap.
At first David and I thought he might have gotten rabies but Simon has never been outside on his own and we haven't had any intruding animals in the house. So we believe that after working all night in the warm and humid weather, I developed a body odor that neither David or I could detech but the cat was able to and did not appriciate at all.
