Really. We've been in school for two weeks, and I have a test? Are you kidding me? Apparently not. And it's not gonna be just any old no-big-deal test. These tests are scary and horrid and very very difficult. Why so soon?? Yuck.
In other news, class has obviously begun and I really do like most of my classes. Well, sort of. I like class without the work. But anyway, Conducting is my favorite class. I love it. I love it and I love Dr. Powell. It's just wierd that I've been watching people conduct my whole life and now it's my turn. I feel old. I don't really mind History; it's really interesting, and I like it. It's slightly boring right now because we're learning about really exciting (note the sarcasm) Gregorian chants, but I enjoy it, which I suppose is a good sign. Still not excited about that test. Elem. Methods I don't mind, but right now we're doing random stuff that doesn't really always make sense, and it's at 8:00 in the morning. That part I hate. I think I will like it more later, but right now it's kind of a pain. There's so much random after class work. And then there's voice and piano, which are both fine, Concert Choir which is WONDERFUL (we might actually be a real choir at the end of the semester!) and the other thorn in my side--Percussion Skills. Now, learning to play the drums is fun, and I like it, but I'm not very good at it AT ALL and he wants us to do all this reading and busywork, and I just don't have time to worry about Percussion Skills. Gah. But that's class, and life is good.
I don't have just a whole lot to say...other than Kiefer Sutherland finally won Best Actor!! Finally!! And 24 FINALLY won best drama series!!! To all you naysayers, it IS the best show on television. Grey's Anatomy, surely fine, but it can't top 24. West Wing, nice try. Still can't beat 24. And I love House, but Jack Bauer is just the man. I was so excited! Now I just have to survive without Season 6 until January...
