Pictures did not go well. The twins were all over the place, and once she brought out Sesame Street plush characters, it was all over. I knew it would either be a really good idea or a very bad one. Trevor was the worst one, though. We did get a great shot of Kaleb. Landon was mostly flighty and all over the place. They are kids, what else do we expect? So we are going to try it again tomorrow. I'm not very hopeful. Kris was absolutely no help at all. I am most frustrated with him, b/c kids are kids, but he should be able to think quickly and not make matters worse. Plus, I asked him to bring things to make it easier on us, like toys and snacks. Well, Kris brings 3 bags of stuff. Toting 3 bags around does NOT make it easier. So it was an annoying experience all around.
In the mail today I got this really neat CD-ROM with bassoon parts to all kinds of orchestral works. They are quite literally THE bassoon parts, 1st and 2nd chair. Its a very interesting concept. I was extremely disappointed, though, that it was a different orchestration of "Pictures at an Exhibition."
I learned something very important today, though.
