Gossip...I hate it; God hates it!
Gossip...What does God say about it? Well, lets look and see.
"When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise." Proverbs 10:19
" The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of judgement." Proverbs 10:21
Can our mouths ruin a life?
Yes! most certainly, the tongue cuts likea knife. So, why then do we hurt those we love? Why does the worst come from our mouths towards those we love rather, those we know little of?
Gossip, which is the sharing of rumors or information of an intimate, personal or sesational nature, uimatley destroys friendships and creates friction (Prov. 16:28). Our tongue does not affect only our destiny; it can also change the destiny of those we bless or curse.
Thank you Father, that I did not use those things I know in retaliation this morning. Thank you although near tears (ultimately drowning in them later) you helped me through it. I am not sure I did my best but, I know in my heart You were ther to guide me; years earlier I would have spoken my mind. For you word tells me and reminded me then..." Even the fools are thought to be wise when they keep their mouths shut" (Paraphrased Proverbs 17:28.
In the name of Jesus Christ my Lord..I bind you satan...you have no control over me, over my household, over strangers and friends alike! Get behind me! I will celebrate a week of Thansgiving and you will not destroy or interupt it !!
