Random d(random) of random damage!
Today was a day full of chaos, chance encounters and amusing miniature odysseys. Upon arriving in time for my first class I discovered the professor was sick and decided to stay anyway, considering the next one I wanted to catch was in...oh, two and a half hours!
Three hours later, we were a dozen students tirelessly searching campus for our mysteriously disappearing lecturer. Did you ever have one of these bizarre, kafkaesque dreams where you are looking for something or someone and are constantly directed from office to office to person to person and noone knows where it is that you're searching for? It was just like that, only in reality. It took us an hour to finally locate said professor who was JUST starting the course we had been waiting for, an hour and a half later than announced anywhere, in a room four stories higher at the opposite end of the philosophicum.This was apparently all planned, but noone had been informed of it beforehand. It was lovely.
On the plus side, the people I was lost and searching with turned out to be HUGE NERDS who were an awesome bunch to talk to. We scared other students out of the basement by comparing our favourite serial killers, TV series and computer games. Also there seems to be a good Shadowrun group going on who wouldn't be opposed to another player. Yummy.
I also tried to write the promised rant about my experiences on women ruling the internet, but it turned out senseless and unstructured and will have to wait until I can get my thoughts together again.
