Sick puppy
Poor Ginkgo. She wasn't eating and was acting kinda weird, so we took her to the vet. Turns out she has Parvovirus - a fairly common, but dangerous virus for puppies. Basically it attacks the intestines so the dog can't eat (and they'll vomit whatever they do eat), and so they just get weaker and weaker. So she is going to stay at the puppy hospital for a few days so they can give her an IV of fluids and stuff. We are worried about her, but optimistic that she will make it. We just got an update from the vet, and they say she is stable. Once she is able to keep down food again, she will be able to come home. It's expensive to have her at the hospital, but it seems likely that she would not make it otherwise, and we already love her so much. I'll keep everyone updated as we hear more.
