I bought the Cloutier & McEvoy book. If you want to play Omaha of any flavor, that is the book. I had bought the Tanner & Kreiger and found it confusing. Not a bad book but one you need to read 3-4 times to start getting it. C&M makes it simple. I was playing O-H in under an hour of reading with good results.
I am keeping a small journal of my play here:
http://pokerworks.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=611A synopsis is: I started with 14.40 on PokerRoom; have played 3 session of and hour and change; bankroll is now 84.05
At these bottom limits the tables are very juicy. I've had one small loss table and no losing sessions. I recognize the danger of thinking I am an Omaha god. I have had some nice cards that hit. That isn't a guarantee. But, I am still having more fun with Omaha than I've had for a long time playing Holdem.
