I haven't written here in awhile. The IT department in my company has blocked Livejournal so I can't get on the website at work anymore. That fact is very irritating. Our first anniversary is on Tuesday. Nick and I haven't decided what we are going to do that day but we both took the day off of work. No matter what we do it will be nice to have a day off of work in the middle of the week.
In a few weeks I will start my last semester of coursework for my graduate program. OI am walking across that stage in May. I probably won't finish my thesis project this semester, but all of the courses will be done. I can finish my project this summer. I can't wait until I don't have to go to school anymore. I enjoy learning something new and I love what I doing in school but I would like to give myself and my husband a break from the school craziness.
Work is tolerable. I really like the people I work with everyday but I am ready to do something else.Since October, I have applied for a few State Historian openings with the California Department of Parks and Recreation. However, they keep losing my job applications or sending to the San Diego office when I applied for a position in Sacramento. I sent in two applications in December, so I hope they didn't lose either one of those.
My baby sister got married the day after Christmas. It is surreal to think that Samantha is married. Her husband is in the Marines and is stationed in San Diego. He went back to San Diego last weekend and she is still here in Sacramento. She won't be able to go down to San Diego until February or March. I think it will be real when she finally moves.
For Christmas Nick bought me Wii Fit. I love that thing. I have never been able to hula hoop but now I can! I am surprised at how sore I am after using that thing. My Wii Fit age is 37. I am only ten years off of my actual age. Not to shabby.
That is all for now.
