8:00-9:30 am: Got out of bed, took a shower, shaved my legs in the shower( don't know when I am able to do that again),  went over the hospital arrival instructions,  put on comfortable clothes, and left for Mercy General Hosptal.

10:00 am: Paid to park, arrived at the hospital, checked in with the volunteer, sat in the waiting room until I was called back into the Pre Surgery Center.

10:25-12:35am: Nick and I walked back to through the double doors. Nurse weighed me and sent me back to a room to change into a backless gown and funny booties. I have a cold ,so before they went any further they checked how congestion level of my lungs. (I would have been so angry if they would not have done the surgery.) They asked me a million questions, and had me sign a few documents. One nurse wrote a big purple "YES" on my left knee. Another nurse came in and stuck me with an IV. She missed the first time and left the needle hanging therein my hand while she tried a vein in the forarem. During some more waiting, my Dad arrived at the hospital. They let both of them come back and entertain me while waiting for an operating room. During this time my surgeon, OR nurse and antheisologist stopped at my bed to review my chart and answer my questions. My Dad left the room to go check on my Mom.

12:35: The OR nurse cam back and wheeled me inyo the operatin room. The keep that whole area very cold. Everyone, expect the surgeon, was in the room prepping for surgery. The nurse helped me to a new heated bed and everyone began hookin me up to machines. The OR nurse lightly held an oxygen mask over my face. . .

Roughly 4:00pm-6:00pm: The rest of the day is a blur. I woke up in recovery. The nurses brought Nick back to see me and go over post-care instructions. They told me I had to have a breathing tube while in surgery. I got some more pain medicine.  Mom came back. I got nauseous. The nurse taught me how to walk in the crutches. Nick went to go pick up a prescription at the hospital pharmacy. I got wheeled out to the front and loaded into the car to go home.
