JOHN BOAN. or BO-AN rather than Bone, as he enlightened me one time...
several things could be said, all equally trivial and pretty funny bone really liked me (i could stop there... do you know john boan? man, to be the apple of john boan's eye...) so he asked me to prom.
a) i wore freakshow masquerade style make up, and i basically knew it, i just didn't know when to stop, or realize how strange it really looked or how much better i could possibly look if i just didn't wear ...so... much black and silver eyeshadow and eyeliner b) we went with katie yoho and beau...derbis. whose bud of romance was just beginning to blossom, but came into full bloom and damn near fruited in the back seat on the way back from the general jackson c) i apparently hardly talked to bone, i was terrible date, i had a huge dinner and just danced with black guys
i thought bone was overreacting at the time, but he was genuinely upset with me, turns out - even his mother thought i was cruel and negligent. katie and beau continued to date for like two years. the end!
