Lead Consultant - Not What I Thought
2 Months now and I thought I was ready to get back into the Corporate Rat Race.....Now I remember Corporate World dream job is highly overrated. 5 days a week, I travel I-70 in traffic, not knowing where or when the Slow and Go point will happen(People just don't know how to drive). After the foolish traffic adventure is over, I head to the break room for a free cup of Corporate Coffee. Ugh....Free my Ass, I'd rather pay $5 bucks a day to Star Bucks. Now, I mentally prepare for the Corporate daily action to start. The Company allows it's employees to have a 15 minute break in the morning, a one hour lunch and another 15 minute break in the afternoon. And between that illusion of freedom, they get a potty break here and there. I don't want to have to plan my potty breaks around your Corporate schedule. I want to go when I want to go. You can keep your two 15 minute breaks and your one Hour Lunch.
The majority of the days is spent negotiating with other Corporate Whores who are insecure or abuse power cause they have no say or control at home(At least that's what the Corporate Gossipers say). And as they create problems, my team and I are called upon to resolve them with very limited cooperation. The busy worker bees don't want the boss to know he or she messed up the financial data and the reports are inacurate, therefore, he/she plays the I don't know what happened game and it just makes me have to work harder to find out the truth. So, me and my team have to burn the midnight oil just to make the client happy(Yep, kissing ass) by going through their data to locate the problem. We work days, nights, weekends and holidays until we find the mistake that could have been located if the Corporate Robot would have just said, "I Fucked up" and here it is. But nooooo, the little Corporate worm insults my intelligence by saying....There must be something wrong with your software because I couldn't have done that.
Don't get me wrong, I still have love and passion for the I.T. Field.(Thanks to the great Steve Jobs, May God Rest His Soul and 2nd to Mr. Bill Gates and the Microsoft Empire). It's just painful working with the Corporate Whores that sell their soul and tear down others to get to the top of the. It's all an illusion. ORDER NETFLIX AND VIEW "THE MATRIX"!!! You will truly be enlightened. You will recognize we are only puppets for the Extremely Wealthy(Those Dirty Heartless Bastards!).
To my friends and family who say....You should be thankful that you have a job and can make livable wages. I am very thankful to my God(Not the Dogma Religious God) for giving me the skills needed to live the life I currently have. I am thankful for the wisdom I have acquired to gain the respect of my colleagues and to communicate in my day to day meetings. Being Thankful is not my issue. So, take your negative energy elsewhere and do like me....Go Be Positive and make your contribution to the Universe.
I digress....Let's get back to my happy place.....Educating people on Health, Wealth and the pursuit of True Happiness is what I need want and desire again. It's fun, you're allowed more freedom and you handsomely rewarded for your hard work. You can dictate your own salary and raises. And the nice thing is....Lunch and potty breaks are unlimited.
