So...it's been a while! I've been sitting on this chapter, and the one that I'll be releasing right after it, for a couple of months now, but school's been crazy and I just didn't have the time to put them together. But the semester's nearly over and I've got some time (FINALLY) so I thought I'd actually put them out on LiveJournal. Anyway!
Last time: Corrine graduated and almost hooked up with this weird-but-cute guy named Ethan, until I found out that she was married. Gavin and Benjamin continued to make up and break up in frustrating cycles, and it looked like Saad and his old lady lover had some drama in their relationship, for which I was thankful. Youssef had a birthday, and Soraya embarked on a career as a songstress. Josh died, and it was the saddest thing to ever happen to me because he was my absolute favourite.
Anyway, head below the cut for Quinn's final heiress chapter!
Oh, yeah. I forgot I had this photo.
Gorgeous as always, Quinn.
In case anyone was wondering, this is where my simself, Booker Singleton, and Saad all live, in a weird little mini-commune. It's sort of sad and pathetic, but Soraya had to pay a visit to Booker, to give him a sing-a-gram (or whatever they're called).
Yeah, this just makes me sad.
However, I sincerely doubt I'll ever get sick of this action. It's so adorable!
Since both Josh and Charlotte had passed away, I moved the Bates family to Starlight Shores and built them a gorgeous house (which you can view in full in
this post). I'm so happy I finally moved them to a new neighbourhood, because Appaloosa Plains was lagging and glitching something fierce.
Since moving to a new neighbourhood always resets your sims to a Sunday and doesn't let them start work until Monday, I thought it was a good opportunity to let everyone get ~reacquainted~ since they'd all been working so hard, and leaving no time for loving.
AIDAN: "Hmm...I've got an idea."
SORAYA: "Do you hear that?"
CORRINE: "...Yeah, what is that?"
SORAYA: "I have no clue..."
Seriously, though, look at how adorable these two are. I just love them.
Meanwhile, Youssef and Quinn were also getting reacquainted, but in a far less public place.
They sure make them friendly here in Starlight Shores.
Since Quinn had the day off from work, I had her call her new partner (she works for the police, if you remember) so they could work up a good working relationship.
They could not possibly look any more different.
Layla was also getting a head start on work, conducting interviews and typing up the reports afterward. Maybe it's nerdy, but that's one of my favourite parts of police/detective work.
If this is the calibre of men in Starlight Shores, I sorely regret moving the Bates here.
Now this guy I can work with.
Anyway, Soraya had her first sing-o-gram since coming to Starlight Shores, for a local athlete (it was to celebrate his new skill point). While she was there, she scoped out the gym for the hot gentlemen, and found one that I particularly liked.
Meet Seth. I can't remember his last name now, but it doesn't really matter. The point is that Seth is just hunky in a nerdy, hipster way. (My type.)
Dude, what the hell is your problem with this couple?
Despite what the pictures may indicate, Seth and Soraya were off to a great start.
I also saw potential in Bryce, the guy who Soraya sang to. He's pretty cute, so I sent Corrine down to meet him.
Yeah, I think I can get on board with those muscles.
Yeah, these two are still adorable.
(No, I don't know what's up with that blue line, in case you were wondering. It pops up in my game at inopportune moments.)
Meanwhile, back to Soraya and Seth (who I keep wanting to call Alex)...
I don't really understand what all the neighbourhood guys have against this pairing. They keep showing up to glare at the two of them.
Oh, and Corrine and Bryce were getting along also, except they were much less flirtatious than Seth and Soraya. (I think Corrine was getting placed firmly in the friendzone, though why you'd friendzone someone as gorgeous as Corrine is beyond me.)
So Soraya and Seth built up a good enough relationship that I could ask him to move in, and then it turns out that Seth and Bryce are roommates.
Two for the price of one!!!
I was really desperate to see someone use the chin-up machine, so I sent Corrine out to the back when she got home.
Excellent.
Seth does not like his new house.
On the topic of Seth, he and Soraya are totally the most adorable couple ever and I'm so in love with them.
So I didn't waste any time having them date seriously, and then getting engaged. <3
This may be jumping the gun a little here, but I did up Seth's stats (and called him a Bates before he actually was one), and also gave him a makeover. He's the hipster husband I always hoped for! <3
While I was looking at all of Seth's info, I realized that the two girls he and Bryce had been living with were their ALMOST-GIRLFRIENDS.
SHIT.
I mean, I'm not gay, but I wouldn't kick Soraya out of bed.
I didn't want to just half-ass getting ahead of myself, so here are Bryce's stats, even though he's not yet a Bates (let alone even in love with Corrine!).
I also spiffed him up so he doesn't have that ridiculous hair, and now he's SUPER HOT. :D Good choice, Kelsey.
Here's a picture of Corrine for no reason other than that she's GORGEOUS.
FINALLY! It took a while, but I finally got Bryce to cross the line with Corrine from friends to ~lovers.~
THEY'RE GOING TO MAKE SUCH CUTE BABIES.
(Yeah, I'm all about counting my chickens before they're hatched this chapter.)
Speaking of Bryce, I just took this photo because I think he's gorgeous.
Yum.
Fabulous.
I sent Youssef and Corrine out to network with various workplace people, because the family that schmoozes together stays together.
This is Corrine's boss. She schmoozed the hell out of him but he still wouldn't give her a pre-emptive promotion, or even a raise. What a bastard!Anyway, this concludes Quinn's time as heiress. I'm going to start working on the first chapter of Corrine's reign, so I'll see you there!
