Efferdent
So, I got my braces taken off a little more than a week ago. Finally. I didn't mind having braces at all, but it was getting to be a bit excessive when the three year mark was just around the corner.
Anyway, I got two retainers (one for the top, one for the bottom) which I only have to wear at night, luckily. I was reading the instructions of how to take care of my retainers and I have to soak them in Efferdent (a cleaning solution for dentures) once a day. My mom even got me a special denture/orthontic appliance bath in which I can soak them. It made me laugh so much today when I was cleaning them.
On the instructions it says to never put them in warm or hot water because it could warp their shape. Then, on the Efferdent instructions (the product they suggested, it says, "Soak dentures/orthodontic appliance in very warm water for 15 minutes to remove odour and stains." I'm certain orthodontists have no idea what they're doing.
