The girl across the street turned 16 today. She got her new car. And I mean *new* black SUV of some type that is like way newer and cooler than both my matronly blue Dodge Grand Caravan Sport and my husband's way old black Grand Am.
People always assume that Detroit is full of poor people. Well let me tell you that here in Oakland County--with the nation's 2nd highest income per capita--there are loads of filthy rich people. I am so sick of seeing 16 year old girls driving around in BMWs.
