Well I know Ive only been here for a day but I thought Id update anyway.
I was so nervous when I got here. There were so many upperclassmen when I pulled in.. I was totally freaked. Turns out they were there because they are RA's. Then there were all these jocks and stuff cause they start practice this week as well. So many people I didnt know.. I was scared.
My room is pretty much straight now. Its gunna take some getting use to, and I think I like it more without a roommate. But Im going to just have to get use to that as well.
So as for the guard, the people are really nice. It was cool today because we did basics. But it wasnt really boring basics cause it was totally different than what we do at Brunswick. But i was good at it, so it was fun lol And I was goofy and stuff and danced to the songs, so that was proof I felt comfortable. I mean its not exactly normal for me to dance infront of people I just met. So its cool
Then we had rifle try out type thingers. That was so scary! I messed up a couple times so I really started to get discouraged. But apparently when we needed to toss a double, I tossed a tripple and didnt even realize it. The lady leader person (Sue) she was like "well geez youre just over here tossin tripples like it was nothing" and I was like.. huh? I did? So that was definatly a confidence booster
So to sum it up, my first day was cool. And my computer is awesome! lol And its kind of hot in my room, I need another fan. But anyway, tomorrow the rest of the band shows up so we'll be doing stuff with them. Should be interesting. I didnt see any hott drummers today tho, that was disappointing. But its not that big a deal. So Im excited about tomorrow. More band shtuffs, and more me being utterly exausted such as I am right now. So goodnight everyone, have a good week
