Ramsdell, listed on the rosters when he visited the African American Civil War Memorial. In a residential neighborhood on 7th Street in Philadelphia, just north of Spring Garden Street, is the Edgar Allan Poe House, part of the U.S. National Park System. Admission is free, and it's a strangely solitary sort of place to learn about Poe, with guided Ranger tours on the hour ( Read more... )

One of my Welsh ancestor's lines goes back really, really far. As in, to Odin and Frea. I'm pretty sure that was just an ancient historian giving up, but I found it funny anyhow.
