Know what's great?
Meeting friends from LiveJournal in real life and finding out that you like them even more in person. Today, I drove to Alexandria, Virginia for Kristy Dempsey's book signing of her picture book, Me With You at the marvelous new children's book store, Hooray for Books!, located on King Street. Not only did I get to meet Kristy, but I also met jamarattigan, annemariepace and Sara Lewis Holmes. It was a really wonderful book signing and a pleasure to meet them all (as well as Kathy Erskine).
It was a joy to have dinner with Kristy, Sara, Anne Marie and Kathy at a tapas bar in Alexandria. Delicious food and wonderful company - or was it wonderful food and delicious company? You make the call.
Alas, I neglected to bring my camera, but I rather suspect that photographs will pop up at other blogs.
