"What's this stuff?" Albus Severus Potter poked dubiously at the red and yellow circle in front of him. In all his five years, he had never seen food like it.
"It's pizza," Hugo Granger-Weasley announced. He was full of the slightly condescending confidence that came with being seven months older than Albus. "It's really good, you'll like it, trust me."
"Why does it have polka dots on it?" asked Albus.
"Those aren't polka dots, they're puppy-roni."
"Puppies? I'm not eating puppies!"
Hugo rolled his eyes. "Not puppies like dogs. Puppy-roni like sausage. You always eat it on pizza."
"Says who?" demanded Albus, in the same tone of suspicion that his father used to use when talking of Draco Malfoy.
"My Granny Granger, that's who," Hugo retorted. "She says most Muggle kids love pizza. It's a treat. That's why we're having it today, cuz it's Christmas."
"This is Muggle food?" Albus's interest in his lunch suddenly intensified. He found Muggles fascinating and loved to go with Hugo to visit his Muggle grandparents.
"Yes, and guess what else? It's not good for us!"
Albus's eyes lit up. "You mean it's junk food?" he asked hopefully.
Hugo frowned. "I'm not sure it's exactly junk food," he admitted. His acquaintance with the vast, enticing world of Muggle prepared snacks was not as extensive as he wished. "But I know it's got a lot of salt and fat!"
"Salt and fat!" breathed Albus happily. "Well, what are we waiting for, Hugo? Let's eat some puppies!"
