Sweethearts Gold!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day to those of you who like it. (Did you ever notice that the abbreviation of "Valentine's Day" is "VD"? The first time someone sent me a text saying "Happy VD," I thought they were announcing a sad medical diagnosis.)

Anyway, the double-drabble fest HP_Sweethearts_2023 has gone live on Archive of Our Own. It's a tremendously fun group of 200-word stories, as usual featuring a wide range of pairings and tones -- including a lovely bit of old-lady polyamory (Minerva/Amelia/Poppy/Augusta) and a tartly-voiced Minerva/Severus.

For myself, I struck drabble gold with two -- that's right, TWO -- wonderful gifts featuring Tiberius Ogden. As you might imagine, Tiberius isn't a common option for fests, so whenever I see him listed, I always include him as one of my requests. I was thrilled this year that two (yes, TWO) people were kind enough to fulfill not only my Tiberius needs, but to offer magnificent pairings as well. One gift is a comic delight; the other is equally delightful in its bittersweet power.

Interestingly, both authors independently (as far as I know) decided to make Tiberius a part of the Ogden's Old Firewhisky family, which makes perfect sense even though it's not mentioned in canon. Great touch.

Read and leave the authors some Valentine's love! (just not VD love, please)

This well-written drabbale interestingly connects Tiberius's and Augusta's Roman names and offers great lines.
