It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. . .
. . .for me, anyway -- because lately, I have received two superb gifts at the hp_podfic_fest.
If you're not following that fest, you should hie thyself over there pronto, for there be treasures -- a wide range of well-read fics of all sorts of fun pairings.
Treasures indeed, and two of them belong to me, me, ME! But I'll share them with you, because that's just the kind of person I am.
I have already squee'd over the wonderful reading that lash_larue's friend "Anonymous" gave of my George/Severus story, Dream a Little Dream.
Now I am ecstatic to report that one of my favorite writers, perverse_idyll, has honored me with a brilliant reading of my Minerva McGonagall/Rita Skeeter story, Truth Beyond. Like Anonymous, perverse_idyll offers a beautifully-paced and -pitched interpretation of the original story. The listening time just flies past, so you should fly over there and listen right now.
Having my fics read by such strong readers makes me feel as if I've just had the privilege of dancing with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Not only are they perfect themselves, but as always, they make their partner (in this case, the writer) look good!
