I rarely stay home an entire day. Or rather, I rarely keep myself to my neighbourhood an entire day.
Yesterday was an exception. My usual guitar class was postponed and I did my usual Saturday gym routine on Friday. Hence I was as free as a bird. Other than lunch with jx, there was nothing planned at all.
The good part of such a day, is that you can still get good stuff done.
- I had my teeth cleaned. Been over a year since I had it done so I walked impromptu into Q&M and asked if there are available slots I could hijack. The next moment I was on the dreaded chair. Nothing about visiting the dentist is appealing, until my eyes rested on the dentist. This was probably one of the best looking guys I've seen, because he looked like he just came off the page of some magazine. I had to make myself look away while he was gazing down my mouth (how grotesque). Anyway he suggested I consider extracting my 2 wisdom tooth because over time it is likely to affect the ones next to it. Anything you say doc, anything you say...
- Do nothing. it is relaxing to occasionally have nothing planned. Activities are great but if it gets to the point of rushing here and there, that's when it becomes a drag for me. Sometimes we neglect our neighbourhood surroundings, so it's nice to catch it on a day and time that we usually don't.
- Having time at home means having time to clean around. Other than some typical chores, I also finally cleaned out the stack of outdated bank statements. Oh, and I replaced the studs on the sanitary area cabinets so the doors won't bang when closed. How 'exciting' haha
- I also successfully coerced myself to do my ab routines so I won't have to do them today. Woot!
- Wanted to catch a movie on YouTube via my TV but got stuck to those on channel 5 instead. Did you know you can mirror YouTube on your mobile phone to that on your smart TV simply by pairing them up? A friend helped me with that recently and it's the coolest thing ever!
Well, as for the downside, I did feel somewhat lonely. I missed my friends, and I wondered what they were all doing. So while such days are good and productive, I probably won't be planning to have them too often. It's funny how introverts actually long to be with people, yet sometimes prefer to be by themselves. Such dilemma.
