Hills are the worst part!

Hi everyone... so i'm writing this after I ran 12 miles on Saturday. I finished that in 2 hours and 45 minutes. so at that pace, that means that i could finish the actual marathon in about 6 and a half hours. Thats pretty slow, but since its my first one, i'm not going to be too concerned about the time, all i want to do is finish!!! So on saturday, i started out doing well, and around mile 8, i had to pee really really bad. makes sense, i mean, i'm drinking about half a gallon of liquids during the runs! Plus it was extremely hot out, so Alex and I took a 5 minute break to use the restroom in Starbucks. then we had only 4 miles left. The last little bit was really hard for me, there was a big hill, so we walked up the hill, and ran back down. i think thats where i lost most of my time. The hills take so much energy, i guess i have to work up to it. For the most part, I maintained my run 3 minutes, walk 1 minute pace. That was good. Other than that, training and fundraising are both going well. thanks for checking in!
