Hello Ladies and Gents,

Just popping in briefly to share a quick-ish update on my comings and goings.  No long diatribes today.  I know you're disappointed, but do try to carry on.  It's not all bad news.  :-)

Here we go!

That is awesome that you've now been to both UCBs! I think that's my new goal in life :)

Also, I think I've met Faux Artiste #9 out here, and he totally doesn't bathe.

Hey chica! I was just thinking about you. Do you have anything big planned for your birthday? :-)

Not really - to be honest we had a big Superbowl party last weekend, and now I'm pooped. Planning another big event is just too much, so it's just going to be one of those "let's all go to this bar and hang out" kinda things.

Did you get a ton of that snow everyone's talking about? A friend of mine from here just moved back home to DC, and he had massive snow piles everywhere. Yikes!

I heard DC has been buried under snow for days. Poor things.

We had a snowstorm hit last Friday evening. It was actually not too bad because the sun's been out everyday and the temps have been around 35-40 degrees since. So it's melting nicely w/o causing too much trouble.

There's another storm coming in tonight. They've already closed all the schools in Philly, Allentown & Scranton for tomorrow. It's inconvenient to go out at night because it's so cold (around 15 degrees), but in the daytime, it's not too bad.

BTW, I hope to move back to IN by the end of the month. But I wish it were sooner. (Things have taken a serious turn for the worse family-wise and I need to escape.) I'm looking into using one of those portable storage box thingys. But so far, the websites haven't been too helpful with info and some companies are clearly psycho in their pricing (such as PODS). I have a lot of calls to make still.

Oh wow - moving back to Indiana? Sorry to hear there's bad times with the family... how do they feel about you moving back?

I wish I knew more about those storage thingys to help you out, but I've never used them before.

Do you think the job market might be better in IN?

I don't know how they feel about me moving back, but I don't really care either. They're the reason I'm moving, so ....

Sometimes, you really can't go home again. ::shrug::

I'm heading out to dig my car a trench through the snow. The sun's out and the snow's melting pretty fast, so, hopefully, it won't take too long. Then I'm going over to U-Haul and see if I can get info on their storage container shipping service thingy. /technical expertise :-)

Do you think the job market might be better in IN?I don't know. It doesn't really matter at this point. I've been here since Dec 2008, and it's been one crappy PT job after another, followed by an even crappier FT gig that paid me $15K less than what I made at my last FT job ( ... )
