*groan*
Ooh, hard day's work! Today Miss Patsy and I covered her whole yard in tarps, brought weaker plants inside, and did general maintenance and preparation for the hard freeze. I got home all achy and froze to the bone from working all day in 45-degree rain. I brought all my plants inside, made spaghetti, showered and got into warm clothes.
My cousins were in the final stages of vacating... Yeah, don't get me started. At least they paid me for January, and he says he'll be by in a couple days with his share of the utilities. After they left, I went around sweeping and moving a few things around, now that the whole place is MINE ALL MINE (which is the one indisputably awesome part of this whole week for me).
I had just sat down for pretty much the first time today, and made a grab at a congratulatory Mallomar, when Miss Patsy came to my door to bring me my hoodie I'd left at her house.
And so yeah, all the tarps have blown down in the wind.
I mean, we tied the freaking things down and weighted them down with bricks. Way to be foiled by 35mph winds.
So, again, tomorrow. *SIGH* At least it won't take as long; all the tarps are where they go, so we won't have to go around fetching them... And all the plants that need to go inside are inside. But still... ugh.
