The carved cup with flames is finally glazed and fired. The photos don't help (though the forth round with actual daylight turned out a bit better) but it really is hazy-looking -- the red glaze broke into colored speckles over the black glaze. Three large garbage bags of stuff were tossed from the Madrigal trailer, and almost as much exiled to our fearless leader's basement. It's much easier to put everything away neatly now, and there's room for things that deserve it to be promoted from "stuffed in a bag in a corner" to "sharing a labeled bin". Yay ( Read more... )

Squeak knows quite well that humans have two hands, and is equally certain that there is serious slacking going on if only one of those hands is petting the cat. I should leave a little extra time to walk to the T on nice days, knowing how easily I'm mind-controlled by the cat. I'm moved. I was moved more than a month ago, actually, and am still embarrassingly not unpacked. (Mad props to the movers who teleported my far-too-much stuff in 2.5 hours.)
