Temptation
Found a . . . glitch. The Abstractor, it doesn’t just resemble a Gate of Truth; it contains one. That’s the source of it’s “logic” - it can pull information out of the Gate without having to make a deal. The rest of the apparatus is just containment and failsafes. But none of it works without an opened Gate. And for the Gate to be open, it needs to be observed. By a sentient organic creature. And they can’t use it. They have to open the door to everything they’ve ever wanted to know and not step inside. I don’t know if anyone is strong enough for that.
