Ok so continuing on, Anime Expo day 1.....started with trying to get Bianca's hair in this weird way that her cosplay asked for. I think it can be seen in the google album link that I'm posting later in this post, but I swear Beryl was working on her hair for a good one hour or something. Anywho, we arrived at the LA-Convention Center at around 10 ish. Not sure what the exact time was, but it wa

s somewhere there. Once we entered the entrance....we were greeted a large number of cosplayers, regular attendees, and people jockin over Daniel's cosplay (he went as Cloud Strife). This photo isn't doing justice to how many people were there. They say over 40,000 go to Anime Expo on average per year, and I don't doubt it. Compared to Sakura-con, it's ridiculous. I'd say the only thing I'm slightly disappointed about the event is the amount of panels. Yeah, it feels slightly more organized I guess, but in my opinion I feel Sakura-Con had more stuff, panel wise. OH, and also.....the console gaming room is a joke. A COMPLETE joke. it's like they made it an afterthought. Sakura-con's console gaming areas blow AX's out of the water. With that said.......the exhibitioner's hall was huuuuuugggggeeeee (seems like a common theme throughout this trip). I spent $65, one on an impulse buy, one on a non impulse buy. I'd say it's an even trade, but it's kinda scary to drop 60 bucks like that. Especially since I'm short on cash in times like these. But I did put up limits/budgets for this trip, and I intend to stay with it. Apparently at the Artist Alley, some of them sell calendars, complete with their own original drawing. I'm kinda pissed I didn't see any of it, but I guess that's why there is more than one day for this con. There's way too many ish going on that you physically can't cover them all in one day.
Touching on the subject
![](http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b276/sensai13/LA/IMG_2075.jpg)
of cosplayers/anime fans in general; more often than not, people see the stereotypical anime fan.....fat, obnoxious, and on ADD. Then there's the ones whom are "closet fans"; they don't really like admitting they are fans until events like this. It's nice to see both types of people coexist, albeit not in a peaceful manor. Regardless, still seeing something happen right in your face, especially at a big scale like this, is beyond awesome. Everyone is basically there for the same reason, so everyone essential has something in common. It's slightly beautiful in a sense, as much as I don't like saying that word to describe anything but another person. But....I guess I am describing another person...cept as a whole, like plural form. I'm kinda just typing on impulse right now, but, it's just needed, especially with a subject like this. Plus, it's funny seeing the reactions of people driving past the Staples center wondering why there are so many people in costumes when it's the middle of summer. Oh, just one more thing, I find it a cute thing (and I don't even say cute that much), where a shy guy asks a hot girl for a photo with him. Yeah, it's creepy in some situations, but hey, the guy put it all on the table, and as long as he's nice, he'll more often than not get the picture. He doesn't even have to be in cosplay, and that's the great thing about it. Now when the guy starts asking for contact info, the girl can go ahead and run or kick the shit out of the guy. Either option works.
Back to the con, that was the whole day really. Exhibitioners hall, photo ops, and food. We didn't get to go to the AMV showing since it was a ticketed event, and I didn't feel like waiting in another line. There's a second showing on Saturday so that should be the best opportunity to see Dead Fantasy epi 3-6. DOPE. But Morning Masume is coming up tomorrow. Quite honestly, I don't know what's the big deal with them, but Daniel has been running around the hotel room because of them. I guess they alright, but I'll be the judge of that at their 12 o clock concert......which is a weird time to have it.
I'm going to end this entry relatively early because the amount of walking/standing in line that happened today. I'll leave this link

Anime_Expo1 . That's the album for day one. The major of the photo's are from my friend's photo shoot of the anime "Hetalia", since it's her camera and all. Feel free to browse it. And I'll end this post with a picture of myself in cosplay....because I'm a conceited bastard like that. Hey write your own entry about AX if you don't like the shameless plug. Anywho, night yall ^_^.
