Yet more PC issues...
Right, who knows about Internet cookies? Our cookies have all been eaten deleted and we didn't do it. Worse, they won't come back. And Fast Switching doesn't work: if Matt's logged on and I Switch User, I get as far as the Welcome Screen but can't get into my account, or anyone else's except Matt's; it just diverts me back to the Welcome Screen. Matt has the same problem if I'm logged on (I think). Works if you log out. But still no cookies, and no cookies being saved. No settings have changed, no-one's purged the Temporary Internet Files (which are still there) or anything or actively deleted cookies, and Internet Explorer (6) is still configured to collect them (or whatever you call it).
Anyone got any idea a.) WTF is going on and b.) how to fix it?
Should I just reinstall Windows (XP Prof., a pretty old version) and be done with it?
HELP! I want to network the other computer to it after Christmas but I don't want to do that if the primary's playing up!
