Schichtwechsel.

That means 'shift change'. That's what's been going on here recently. Frank and Sandra left Monday, Benedicte and Cara yesterday. Sumita (who I spent 11/2hrs talking to over pizza last night) goes on Friday and I go a week after that. Jodie arrived recently, Andre left for South Africa and Bernead goes at the end of the month (a month after Cordes, the Mercedes chief).

The SU Server returns! I think I might die... Mmmmmmmmm, massive posting opportunities...

Anyone with a DeviantArt account might want to look at this: http://www.livejournal.com/users/nblaney/206728.html It basically says DA may use your pictures as their own and not credit you at all, to the extent of flogging them. Thanks to tropism for that.

Got this from jaq's LJ. I asked if it was easy and he said he'd already done some reading up, so I thought I'd have a go:

You Failed the US Citizenship Test

Oops, you only got 4 out of 10 right!
Could You Pass the US Citizenship Test?

It wasn't easy, well, there was 1 question that was easy (the enemy in the revolutionary war one, though I doubt many stereo-Americans would get that), but with some reading up on the basic history of America, it would have been (considering I know just about nothing about American history). Watch the asylum seekers roll in ;P

Today I'm going to grab a roll from the shop so I have something to eat when I get to England/at the airport, before I go and get soup for lunch. Wow, exciting...

I also got tagged to post my Top 10 Songs I dig at the Mo or whatever by stemboy:

A song I don't know the title and artist of but it sounds like that Irish women's one again, the refrain-type chorus goes 'won't you Rescue Me, Rescue Me' and Google won't find it.
Liebe Ist, Nena
Ночь Короче Дня, Ария (Noch' Koroche Dnya, Night is Shorter than Day, Ariya)
Магия и Меч, Эпидемия (Magiya i Mech, Magic and Sword, Epidemia)
Streets of London, Ralph McTell
Crying in the Rain, A-Ha
Just want to go Home, Michael Bublé
The Last Unicorn, America
Bist Du Traurig?, Peter Maffay
Man of Devotion, Fools Garden

So now I have to pass it on to five others, right? Well, I'll try and choose people who both read LJ, post sometimes and haven't been tagged AFAIK:
piphil, general_xanith, frazzled_frosty, narrativium and ltcmdrjim, consider yourselves tagged!

Andrew Marr on politicians; interesting, actually.

Useful Squirrel Friend!! Matt'll have to have one... I'd get a bunny for me :) And yes, like the report says, it is ridiculously cute. Make sure you click the In Pictures link about 1/3 of the way down the report. I also like the point made last about philosophical elevators.

French Government in the deep end.

Arsonists.

Summary of German election campaign, except they didn't mention that SPD chief Munterfering collapsed at a rally he was holding. Heart attack, or something. He's OK, but his doctors have warned him off campaigning. Oops.

Have you seen this dog?".

Black pudding.

Porn star.

Understanding each other. Something anyone would be interested in, surely.

Wow, that was it for interesting stuff. If you didn't click on the squirrel one, go back and do so! It's just sooooooooo cuuuuuuuute!

Had a very strange dream last night. Well, it was normal, but it was how I could relate it to Real Life (ha, well, if you can call Inquisitor real life) that was odd. There was a lot of normal dream oddness in the run up to the very end (involving motorbikes, then watching a film about a male drow (yes, it was R.A. Salvatore-related) and then the film being real life and me in it) just before the alarm woke me up, literally the last two minutes in-dream time. That was the bit that made me think of relating it to real life.

I had just gone to get some items (a mail shirt and some arrows... I can't help but think this got related to D&D at some point, too) and come back, and was walking back to where Matt was waiting (he'd somehow morphed into Matt from being a drow...?) and called for Nevan (you'll find out who that is in due course ;) He'd been there a while in the dream). Some tall dark-haired bloke started hassling me, he was dressed like a merchant (Me and Matt dressed in cheap peasant-type clothing, I think) so I told him to back off or I'd get Nevan to deal with him. He simply said 'oh, who's Nevan then?'. I asked Nevan to get rid of him and the guy was plucked into the air by an invisible force, which then revealed itself to be a red dragon :) Mine and Matt's pet red dragon. Not a D&D Red Dragon I hasten to add, no, he was quite civilised and didn't randomly attack anyone and didn't even look much like one (probably about 12m head to tail, but slim, long-necked with a longish, thin head and horns/frill combination, proper wings, longish tail, dark red with black trimmings). I got back to Matt, we saddled Nevan up, took off and then my alarm went off. I was not impressed...

This led me to more than one conclusion (I hate it when my dreams give me cool ideas!):
*My Forge World Fire Dragon is Nevan. Slightly different in foot structure and head size, but otherwise similar.
*I'll use him as part of my Two Eldar team, as it seemed to me that though Matt wasn't a drow any more, he was still an elf and so was I (had been since I 'became part of the film') but only for NPC purposes, not as a playable team.
*Nevan had invisibility powers at will in my dream, but this might not be carried over for being potentially over-powered, though he tended to use them for defence (not getting attacked by angry locals) rather than attack. He was a proud dragon :)
*Multiclass Ranger/Cleric needs to be looked into. That occured to me around lunchtime today as a possibility for who I was, though I know very little about multiclassing. I'll ask Matt Monday.

Still, it wasn't as bad as the actual Inquisitor dream I had while Matt was here, where I was part of an Inquisitor band and we were fighting Nurgle and Tzeentch daemons (which looked nothing like any GW material I've ever seen) and all I had was some sort of pistol (nothing over-powerful) and a knife. I told Matt this and that was it, off he goes on one of his 'what if I made a ...' things. Bugger. He went for two knives and not a pistol though.

Well, that's probably my last LJ entry until tuesday at the earliest, since I'm off back to Blighty tonight for the Bank Holiday. Get to see Matt on Monday and catch up with the Essex side of things!

Sahha ohrain.
