1. Now that Source Filmmaker is out, I am screwing around with it. It's a very sound little tool, but as I'm not an animation student, there's a limit to what I can do. This is about the extent of my abilities so far:

C# is easier to make a GUI simply because it's built into Visual Studio by default.

However, Google actually bought out the best GUI software for Java then released it for free. It's not integrated as tightly into Eclipse as C# is with Visual Studio, but if you get it installed it provides the same basic functionality I think.

I've never found a GUI editor I really liked, and usually just end up doing everything by hand anyway because it keeps my code cleaner.
