Then on Sunday we took the bike AGAIN.
Lesley had been wanting to go to Baltimore to spend the day. Specifically she wanted to go to the
American Visionary Art Museum. So we rode the bike up and parked at the Inner Harbor to have lunch. Then we spent a couple of hours at the museum. I was extremely skeptical since the first thing inside the door was one of their permanent collection galleries: "Art" by crazy people. Most of the rest of the mnuseum, however, was dedicated to religious topics. Most of that was really interesting. Heck even playing around in the gift shop with Lesley was fun.
After a brief nap in the grass on the hill in
Federal Hill Park it was time to head for
Fell's Point.
WE were a little too early for dinner so we just walked around the neighborhood for a while. Dinner was at
Bertha's Mussels. I see their bumper stickers everywhere but had never looked them up. Afterwards: more walking through the neighborhood, ice cream treats from Maggie Moos, more walking and then home.
Home was actually a pretty chilly proposition though. Poor Lesley was cold the whole way home, uncomfortable from having spent more time on a motorcycle that weekend than in all the previous rest of her life put together. I probably can't expect her to ride much in the immediate future, but I certainly appreciated her riding with me last weekend.
