When I left Colorado I headed to TN. Not because I had any great reason to be there. I had planned to come down and have a cookout for my brother's birthday. He ended up not being able to make it. but I had already bought my plane tickets. Since I couldn't stay in CO for the second weekend I followed through with the trip.
When I got there the milage on my bike read 1091 and the trip odometer said I'd been 545 miles. So, yeah, I doubled the miles on my bike that day.
It was long. It was hot outside. And it's too loud on the bike to use my new iPod nano until I get some better in-ear headphones. There was, however, a really fun part at the end:
The first hour was fine. There was a good bit of traffic, but it was moving. After the first hour or two it got a little boring. All in all the drive wasn't so bad. I was expecting to be more uncomfortable.
Several years ago my step dad built a couple of ponds on his farm. One is kind of pond sized. The other one, I estimate to be about 4 acres. He stocked fish in it a couple years ago so we went fishing.
My brother-in-law:

Bill:
Those first pictures were just jokes. Bill says he got screwed on the fish for the small pond. They're all teeny. (Yes, I know they have to grow. They don't seem to grow much bigger than that.) We did catch some bigger bluegill out of the bigger pond (stocked later in time by a year or two) that were nice and fat. We also brought in 10 bass that were 11-15 inches long. So they'd be legal to keep even if it wasn't our pond anyway. This is us cleaning them for dinner including me filleting one with my pocket knife
Apparently the global warming (or something) has caused these guys to move in over the last couple of years.
I love magnolias. My mom has a gorgeous one in the front yard that I was lucky enough to see (and smell) blooming while I was there.
Next time I'm hoping the blackberries are ripe.Installation is the reverse of the removal (i.e. the ride home took the same route and was largely uneventful).
