No really. She did.

I though at first I would type long explanations for these topics but decided to keep it to the space allowed for consistancy with others. As I enjoy frank respectful exchange of ideas, I'd be happy to talk to people about most of these.

Damn I actually agree with you on some things- I was hoping we'd disagree on everything so I could just shrug and feel at peace with it.

Still, I've found consistently that choice is the best test I have for whether or not I can bear someone's general politics and that stands true.

There was a consequence to the abortion I had. I didn't have to carry my rapists child to term. Pretty pleased about that.

I didn't say that abortion should be illegal. I don't think that it's never warranted. I would call your situation a medical necessity. I do think abortions in less dire circumstances should be more restricted, more difficult to get. Surely you didn't think that my "no consequences" statement was directed at you.

But I do believe that they are generally bad for women. That is based on multiple anecdotal data points.

Sorry I couldn't be more disagreeable.

It's difficult enough trust me. RU487 was illegal when I was raped (sucked) so I had to wait 7 weeks to have an abortion, which is rediculous.

However, I would try to talk my friends out of it in many cases and agree it can be "bad" for people in general. As longas you don't want to make it illegal, I have no qualms with that. :)
