Summer Surge 2007
We had about a hundred kids come which is better than the worst case scenario, lol. I helped Janna Lawn with her "Girls Time" booth. We had girly crafts and jewelry making. I was in charge of helping the girls make rock bracelets. I'll wear it to school to show you all. I want to buy a kit for myself. They're really cool. It was really hot. I only helped in the booth until 4:30, so then I kind of just wandered around. Jon Ramsey brought his church's Imitators, Jeff Simpson from our praise band brought his band 5th Sunday. We had inflatables, all kinds of games, hot dogs, gatorade, basketball and volleyball.
We had a few kids come to Christ. It finally hit me when they were coming back in from talking to the counselors and stuff and I just started crying and singing.
Next on the agenda is a slumber party for the middle school girls on Friday. I'm so excited! Girl time! Woot!
